So well, in here about the
conclusion, but for the first we should be know or flash back definition of
media, according to Van Els et al. (1984), media are all aids which teachers
and learners to attain certain educational objectives may use. So in my
understanding is media are tool or guide when we coming in class to teach our
student. Perhaps just used the white/black board and board marker in class but
that’s we still that the media. But in here the teacher should be active or
have innovative and creative to choose the media to make interesting in class.
For example we use the laptop, or LCD. In here we don’t just focus on laptop, LCD
but make the student keep focus on us, and keep see the LCD. As long as we have Teaching Media subject we
can know what the media can we use and keep make interesting. Before that I
till remember out teacher use some picture of a Film and make them become like
past tenses. There are 9 week we use blog to keep in our teacher subject, in
blog itself the teacher gave us same material and should be comment every week.
From the blog our teacher asks about how to use face book, email, and blog to
use in teaching media. In addition, from above I will re tell a little bit
about use facebook, email, and blog.
Facebook
is a famous social network in this world. Everybody knows about this, we can
make it as teaching media in reading skill. Especially when we want to teach
about narrative or descriptive text, there are several steps how to use
Facebook as teaching media in senior high school level.
1) Teacher
posts a material on Facebook first.
2) Teacher
asks student to turn their phone on
3) Teacher
asks them to open the Facebook.
4) Teacher
asks student to mention of language features from descriptive text first
5) Ask
student to read the text from Facebook posting by teacher.
6) Ask
student to analyze the type of text or generic structure,
7) Teacher
asks them to read aloud.
8) Ask
the student to find out the difficult words
9) Teacher
may chat and talk with his/her student during student in learning process.
Although, the distance is far. It should be teach out of the class too.
10) If
the students get some difficulties from the material, they can ask a teacher
from Facebook.
11) Teacher
make a question based on the student read
12) Teacher
asks them to write and reading text using English.
EMAIL
The purpose of using email in English teaching for knowing
how far students understand about reading text. So, it will make us know about
reading skill especially when we want to teach about procedure text and
analytical text. There are several ways how to use email as the media in
English teaching.
1) Teacher
gives to student about reading text such as procedure text, analytical text
etc.
2) Teacher
explain how to use email
3) Student
know how to use email
4) Student
read the text from email
5) Teacher
asks them to reread and infer it with their own words
6) Then
if there is something wrong from student words.
7) Teacher
may correction via email too.

make a question based on the student read
8) And
ask the other student to answer the question
Blog
Blog is one thing that famous in
the internet too, many people use blog to share information. So, there are
several advantages when we use blog as media in teaching. They are increasing
vocabulary knowledge, reading strategies, and writing too. Especially, when we
want to teach about reading poetry. There are several ways how to teach using
blog:
1) Teacher
tells to student about the function of blog itself
2) Teacher
leads them to make blog too
3) When
the students have blog, the teacher asks them to write something from their
blog dealing with the material which has been given by teacher.
4) Teacher
gives his blog address.
5) Than
teacher gives about the writing and
reading poetry from his blog
6) Than.
Student can give some comment about the material or the poetry from their
teacher.
7) Teacher
can answer from student commentary.
8) The
teacher must be controls or checks the
student’s vocabulary use
9) The
teacher must pay attention to student and check the grammatical.
10) It
can be used for far distance.
The
conclusion is we have to choose more good to select the media, have to know
what the advantages, or disadvantages because we are as the candidate of the
teacher, and the purpose of them is when we going to PPL/KKN the basic from
that we have to know so well.
